Name of the Post: Junior Translator
Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 years as on 01.08.2013. (Not born earlier than 02.8.1983).
Educational Qualifications:
(a) Master’s Degree of a recognized University or equivalent in Hindi or English with English or Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as a medium of examination at degree level.
OR
(b) Master’s Degree of a recognized University or equivalent in any subject other than Hindi or English with Hindi or English medium and English or Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as a medium of examination at degree level.
OR
(c) Master’s Degree of a recognized University or equivalent in any subject other than Hindi or English with Hindi and English as a compulsory or elective subject or either of the two as medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at
degree level; AND
Recognized Diploma or certificate Course in Translation from Hindi to English and vice-versa OR Two years experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice-versa in Central or State Government Offices including Government of India Undertakings.
OR

- Knowledge at the level of Matriculation of a recognized Board or equivalent of one of the languages other than Hindi mentioned in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution.

Selection Procedure: The selection of Candidates on the basis of Performance in the written examinations consisting of 2 papers followed by personal Interview. Candidates will be finally recommended for appointment by the Commission on the basis of their aggregate marks in the written examination and interview.
Application Fee: Application fee of Rs 100/- must have to pay by All general & OBC Category candidates. No Application Fee for SC/ST/PH/ Ex-Servicemen / Women candidates.
Scheme of Examination: The examination will consist of two parts, viz.
- PART-I - Written Examination carrying 400 marks; and
- PART-II - Personality Test (Interview) carrying 100 Marks.
Candidates must carry at least one photo bearing IDENTITY PROOF in original such as Driving Licence, Voter Card, Aadhaar Card, Identity Card issued by University/College, Income Tax Pan Card etc to the examination centre, failing which THEY SHALL NOT BE ALLOWED TO APPEAR FOR THE EXAMINATION. They should also bring two color photographs (for one session of examination).
