To study in an IIM Institutions, one needs to clear the CAT Entrance Examination which is conducted every year by the Indian Institute of Management Team (IIM) and are governmentally owned best B-Schools.
Now the good news is that the Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) has announced the registration schedule of the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2013 for admissions to the top and Best B-Schools in India. And this year, the IIM Indore will be conducting CAT 2013 Entrance Exam.
The Registration window opens on 05th Aug, 2013 and will be close on 26th Sep, 2013. CAT 2013 will be conducted during a 20-day testing window between 16th Oct, 2013 to 11th Nov, 2013. Further details of CAT 2013 is mention below.
Application Fee :
01. General/OBC Candidates Need to Pay Rs. 1600/-
02. SC/ST/PWD/DA Candidates Need to Pay Rs. 800/-
Test Duration and Pattern :
The CAT 2013 will have only two sections :-
These two sections will be implemented sequentially with separate time limits. The examination will be of 140 minutes and this 140 minutes will be very crucial and will make your future.
Admission Process : Candidates admission through the Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussions (GD) and then Personal Interviews (PI). If the student qualifies all the three rounds, then he/she will be selected and given the opportunity to study in the IIM's according to the cut-off and their own Criteria.
How to Apply CAT 2013 : The CAT 2013 Registration window opens on 05th Aug, 2013 and will be close on 26th Sept, 2013. Registration process will be available on CAT 2013 Portal www.cat2013.iimidr.ac.in from 03rd Aug, 2013 At 05.00 PM.
The vouchers are also available through Axis Bank branches and this year 30 more branches have been added.

The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) (It may also referred to as Persons with Disability (PWD) category)], awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in the bachelor’s degree would be calculated based on the practice followed by the university/institution from where the candidate has obtained the degree. In case the candidates are awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the conversion of grades/CGPA to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure certified by the university/ institution from where they have obtained the bachelor’s degree.
In case the university/ institution does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing the candidate’s CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the result with 100. Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply.
If selected, such candidates will be allowed to join the programme provisionally, only if he/she submits a certificate latest by June 30, 2014 from the Principal/Registrar of his/her College/Institute (issued on or before June 30, 2014) stating that the candidate has completed all the requirements for obtaining the bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification on the date of the issue of the certificate.
IIMs may verify eligibility at various stages of the selection process, the details of which are provided at the website www.cat2013.iimidr.ac.in. Applicants should note that the mere fulfillment of minimum eligibility criteria will not ensure consideration for shortlisting by IIMs. Prospective candidates must maintain a valid and unique email account and a phone number throughout the selection process.
